Who is it for and When and where will vbs take place?
Monday – Friday, Aug 14th -Aug 18th, 2023. VBS will be held at Beth-El Church Of God In Christ 1030 Woodfield Rd W. Hempstead NY 11552
Are scholarships available?
The cost of this five day VBS is $150. If additional financial assistance is needed, please email Ericka Brown at bethelcogicli@gmail.com.
How will students be arranged in classrooms?
Students will be arranged in classes according to age and grade. There will be at least one adult leaders per class.
What if my student has dietary restrictions, allergies, or a medical condition?
Email us at djinefa@beth-elcogicli.com with details and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Can I cancel my registration or get a refund?
All registration costs may be refundable. However, you may also transfer your registration to another student who may not otherwise be able to attend.
What are the check in and pick up times for VBS?
School starts daily at 9am Monday July 24th. Pick up will be on the street side daily at 5 pm no later 5:30 pm
What will students do at VBS?
Students will engage in several worship services, relevant and informative breakout sessions, and small group discussions. They will also have the opportunity to participate in traditional camp activities such as zip lines, swimming, rock climbing, and ropes courses. In addition, there will also be friendly competition and creative games throughout camp.
Will parents receive any updates throughout the day?
We’ll be posting pictures, videos, and various information via Instagram. For updates, follow Beth-el COGIC: @bethelcgicli
Can my student bring his/her cell phone?
To provide a distraction-free environment that helps students fully engage in the weekend getaway, they can bring them but we will collect them in the morning and give them to the students on their lunch break. If you need to contact your student in the event of an emergency, call Ericka Brown.
What items should my student bring with them?
Bible, journal, and pen
Hand Sanitizer
Sneakers or closed-toe shoes
Prescription or over the counter medicines must be in a ziplock baggie labeled with your student’s name and grade.
What does the registration payment include?
Registration includes t-shirt, transportation (off premise trips), meals, and activity costs for the duration of camp. Students are welcome to bring money to buy snacks in our on days they go on trips.
